Why I Chose to Leave All of My Previous Posts on For God's Daughters

I received an email earlier from someone who came across For God's Daughters through an internet search and they decided to go through several of the posts, which are mostly book reviews. Some of the reviews are of books in the Horror category and they contain adult situations. The individual asked why I didn't at least go through and delete those reviews.
I didn't go through and delete them because, in most cases, the author found me and asked me to review their book and I was and am extremely honored that they would trust me to do that. Also, I don't want For God's Daughters to seem completely perfect. Truthfully, I had considered deleting some of the reviews, but then it hit me. I am a growing Christian. Every single day, there is something a little different about how I think or what I feel comfortable with reading/watching/doing. Why shouldn't my blog be the same way? Sort of like a reflection of my personal growth.
I like that idea, that people can go back to my older posts and say, "Wow! What a difference she has made on this blog." Just because I am growing spiritually doesn't mean that I don't still like a good horror story, especially the kind that scares you silly if you're reading it in the middle of the night with all the lights out!
I want this blog to be a place where women can find encouragement, spiritual resources and good reads. I'm pretty sure it will be a while before I have any free resources to give away here but I will do contests so you have a chance to win some great books by authors like Suzie Eller, Priscilla Shirer, Elizabeth George, Stormie Omartian and many other wise women. I will also be posting to links to other blogs that DO offer free resources or that have some really wise posts that I think you might be interested in.
I hope I have explained my decision to keep my old posts here in a way that you can understand and that it doesn't keep you from visiting. Hopefully you find things here to help you out and you can discuss things with me that will help me out (particularly on impatience and short tempers because I have both aplenty!)
Thank you for reading and please leave a comment!
